| Your
Help... Volunteers... Bellringing |
When you think
of Christmas and The Salvation Army, images of a red kettle and
bell ringers probably form in your mind.
Volunteers and
donors make Christmas at The Salvation Army happen. Over the years,
we have been fortunate to have the loyalty of many who return year
after year to help by volunteering their time in a shift or two
of bellringing.
Both new and
experienced volunteer bell ringers will talk afterwards of seeing
families where the parent offers some change to the little child
and guides little hands into the kettle, of the many who push in
a pocketful of coins or a few dollars.
Bellringing
is a unique way to experience the spirit of the season and to helping
others at Christmas through the work of The Salvation Army. Will
you join us?
In October of
each year, we begin to accept on-line and phone sign-ups from those
who want to help out as bellringers. Last year, we were blessed
to have more than 50 host locations throughout the season, including
both inside and outdoor locations. Will you join us this year?
