Us... Advisory Board |
As an urban area is developed as a Community Corps Center by The Salvation
Army, the participation and voice of the community are sought.
Green Bay’s work in the area began in 1891. The first records
of an official Advisory Board trace to 1940.
Today, thirty members of the community serve as active Advisory Board
members. Five individuals have been designated Lifetime members and
three others as Emeritus members.
To represent the community at large in advising The Salvation Army
in its work, each member is selected for his or her respective interests
and talents and is asked to regularly give advice on programs and
resources that will benefit the Green Bay area.
Recommendations from the Advisory Board are recorded by majority vote,
and accompanied by a similar vote from the Salvation Army Church Corps
Council, are sent to Divisional Headquarters, as significant actions
are considered.
The work of this group is divided into several committees. As a
whole, the Advisory Board members meet monthly and committees meet
on varied, but regular schedules.
Terms of office
are three years. |
