| What
We Do... Disaster Services |
The
Salvation Army Green Bay Corps is the home of a 24-hour-a day emergency
mobile canteen. This mobile kitchen unit is used by our volunteer
disaster team for mass feedings and distributions on emergency sites.
A volunteer
disaster team is established that is ready to go out on a moment's
notice to provide food, water, and other basic needs at the scenes
of disasters, such as fires, tornados, floods, or even search and
rescue efforts. A helping hand and moral support are also provided
to those who unexpectedly suffer such tragedies.
It is also common
to see the mobile canteen out on location giving support to our
fire and police personnel who may be on the scene for long hours
-- providing food and water to those who so devotedly serve our
community.
The Green Bay
Corps serves as a regional leader in Salvation Army efforts of rescue,
relief, and restoration.
