Nursing Home Visits |
A day of visits
with residents at the more than 20 area nursing homes is a tradition
that has been part of the Christmas activities of The Salvation
Army for many, many years.
Traditionally
visited by members of the Home League of The Salvation Army, in
recent years, volunteers from Bellin Health’s management team
have supported this effort with their time and cheer.
The Salvation
Army provides modest gifts of personal care items and fruit so that
each resident feels personally touched. These visits often contain
a few songs, but always bring words of sharing love and hugs.
